Basketball - Report Cards - Freeman and Alviti at "Moody Level." Libro and Moore deserve to win - Sports - Varese News

ALVITI 4.5 – He doesn't touch the number 4 only because we give credit to coach Cancellieri, who emphasizes how his defenders have him well-capped. True, just as it's true that Alviti is expected to play a much better game, or at least react: it's unforgivable to miss a layup from a meter away, unforgivable to pace up front complaining, only to stroll down the sideline when he finally has the ball in his hands. Sure, he should be served better and more often, but he shouldn't exclude himself from the game when things aren't working out: his role and salary demand more.
VILLA 5.5 – Kastritis uses him to raise the defensive tone, and he's ready to go, even if he always makes a few mistakes. In attack, however, he doesn't even provide a lay-off, and the defense can focus on the others.
MOORE 7 – He was supposed to be the wild card, but instead, in this group with so many out-of-tune moments, he risks becoming the most reliable player. He's certainly the all-around player: 12 points, 21 rating (best), 7 rebounds (best), 6 assists (best). He boasts the best chemistry with Nkamhoua, the one capable of creating his own play, cutting through the defense late in the game. He does make a few blunders, but Tazé deserves to emerge from this matchup with his head held high.
ASSUI 6 – A few steps forward from the deficits of recent games, a couple of nice baskets in the first half, and some serious defensive play where others are lacking. Six rebounds and three assists, a real winner.
NKAMHOUA 7 – Perhaps his best when Varese needed a solid attacking presence. While his first half was a bit inconsistent, in the second half he resembled Malone in his ability to put the ball in the back of the net. But it's clear he can't create chances himself, except on a couple of occasions from beyond the arc.
Too many people are failing, Openjobmetis is not getting unblocked
LIBRIZZI 7.5 (THE BEST) – He plays as a key player, shooting accurately from the arc, sprinting up and down the court, inspiring his teammates and a crowd that increasingly loves him. But then the problem (which has little bearing on an excellent report card) is the same as in previous games: over time, he runs out of ideas, because he's not a pure playmaker, and the lack of an alternative weighs on him and the team's performance. MVP Confident for the readers of our #DirettaVN with 50% of the votes.
RENFRO 5 – Is he well or not? On Friday, he was announced as "fully recovered," on Saturday, "not entirely": it was a dull game, in which he made a few moves, but always coming and going from the bench and almost never paired with Nkamhoua. The rating is perhaps more for the coach than for him, but it's clear that a change of pace is needed even inside the number 15 jersey.
MOODY 4.5 – Hopefully, this is the end of the adventure of one of the worst players seen between the Fire Brigade gym and the Masnago sports hall in his 80-year career. One point and 0 out of 17 in his last three games: he's essentially giving every player in the UISP championship the hope of playing in Serie A. It couldn't get any worse. For once, he avoids the reputation of being the worst, because Freeman easily outplays him and because Kastritis gives him a few less minutes than usual. But when he's on, he still makes himself noticed... in his own way.
FREEMAN 4 (THE WORST) – In the runoff of three serious fouls, the guard manages to win the title of the worst player on the court. A shooter who refuses shots and goes looking for trouble in the paint, where the Trento athletes are waiting to shoot him. Seven shots, seven misses, and Cargrazia calls a foul on him, allowing him to avoid the point with two free throws. He rounds out the performance with the worst plus-minus, -16, confirming his difficulties in marking.
Kastritis: "We've lost, but we're growing. We mustn't get demoralized."
